In global studies of seasoned meditators (Vipassana, Zen, Tibetan, TM), meditation typically increases alpha and theta rhythms — not delta.
Most expert meditators show moderate alpha-theta dominance, reflecting relaxed but alert awareness.
Morgan’s brain, however, bypassed alpha and theta, entering a profoundly quiet state resembling conscious deep sleep — a phenomenon called "waking delta."
